DISCOVER   RISING MOSES

Rising Moses¹ authentic African-based harmonies are guaranteed to make your spirits soar! Rising Moses is an astounding, creative soul who realized early on that he was ordained to sing Reggae music! Rising Moses has traveled thousands of miles to Fulfill Jah¹s destiny of making uplifting Reggae music that when you listen to him will bring you both joy and pain!

Rising Moses, Aka Abdul Bockarie, was born in Sierra Leone of West Africa. Surprisingly, Bockarie speaks many African languages, English, and other international languages as well. As a teen, he found memories of Reggae music that include Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Culture, and Burning Spear. These Kings of Reggae, along with the present day talents of Anthony B, Tony Rebel, Sizzla, and Mutabaruka, have all had a significant influence on Bockarie¹s style. He began by singing Karaoke and dancing to R&B.

In 1997, Rising Moses enrolled at Edna Manley College of Visual & Performing Arts Where he majored in Caribbean and Latin American Jazz studies, Jamaica Kingstown His vocal talent was showcased during the Annual Black History Month celebrations when he performed with the Edna Manley College band at various events including ³The Raffle² for which was the official songwriter. He¹s next project was that he composed and arranged his first CD ³ruthless World² (a sly & Robbie production). The thought-provoking lyrics of his songs address issues that are specific to Africa and Jamaica, but are universal in nature to all mankind. Not only did he capture the attention of Jamaicans and Rastafarians, but also Christians as well as he was invited to perform for many parishes in Jamaica.

In January of 1999 was interviewed by Andrea Williams-Green, the disc jockey for running Africa on IRIE-FM, the Jamaica Reggae radio station. The two-hour interview covered his life in Sierra Leone, Africa, Jamaica and his experiences with Reggae music in Jamaica. In the interview he also said, ³My dream for the world is justice and peace, regardless of race or creed.² The following month, he performed live on TV-J, or Television Jamaica, where he was dubbed the ³Rising Moses.² As rising Moses music and message spread out the globe, he sign a music contract with Roots and Culture Records Co, in the united state and tour, his music was also featured in an article in the daily observer in Jamaica (a local newspaper) and the beat magazine los Angeles.  In 2006 the Rising Moses recorded his second album, listen to this album which included dance hall lovers rock roots and a blend of soul full it is very good, trust me. Title of this new album: Independent woman ruling the 21st century every one want to be duplicate Jamaican but when it comes to duplicate I am the number one. This album will make you conscious .
