FIRST EVER REGGAE TALK SHOW - THE CONSCIOUS VOICE

For many years, the world has looked fondly on Jamaica as the heart and soul of reggae music, while secretly yearning for similar, broader outlets through which they too could express their love of reggae music while highlighting societal issues; issues that aren’t always relayed directly through radio and print media. Though they have been hidden in the undergrounds of society, these issues are now ready to burst into the mainstream and bring attention and awareness of the reggae music industry and its followers.

Finally, an outlet that features the top Canadian reggae artists, up-and-coming artists, and all ethnic persons who exhibit positivity which is in dyer need of being showcased! Ladies and Gentlemen we welcome your voice, The Conscious Voice, The Voice of the People! On December 1st 2009 Toronto Canada launched its first Urban Roots Reggae-focused Talk Show, the show aired at 12:00 noon.

December 1st 2009 Program Highlights were: the intriguing topic of the Livity of the Rastafari Movement; which holds a large population of Canadian residents and the vastly growing Reggae Music Industry; Gun Violence in Toronto! NO MORE should we have to witness and experience another one of our own go down in such vicious conduct! Let’s ask ourselves, is there a cure? Join us as we feature one of Toronto’s most fundamental bands, Winner of multiple Canadian Reggae Awards, the Mountain Edge Crew. In 2009, they released the Zion rhythm which has been soothing the airwaves of Toronto ever since.

Upcoming Canadian poet Empress InI is speaking powerful righteous words to the people. She is currently working on a Spoken Word album entitled “My King” with musical soulful vibes as well as completing her studies for becoming a ‘Crisis Counselor’ for women in need at shelters.

Empress InI poems are beautiful, inspirational and very passionate. She has been performing her own written poems and has been seeking motivation mostly from the Most High. Look out for more Empress InI coming soon.
