DEATH HAS NO FACE, COLOR, RACE, NOR CREED

reggae
Death has no face, color, race nor creed, so when it comes to us we must recognize that God has the power to decide our destiny, I do believe that we all came on this earth at a time, place and season for a reason and when our time is up and we have done our job we all have to meet our maker some day. Losing my daughter and her best friend in 2007 in that tragic car accident that took three teens life is an eye opener for me. I am even more convinced of what my journey is on earth. I now know that my job is to empower women and children of the world. So I’m nurturing my pain of loss by inspiring hope for the future. I hope that through my music I can heal the nation. One must recognize that to deal with pain we must meet it face on because only then can we be healed.

I now know that losing my daughter and her best friend or should I say my daughters, after all they were both my daughters, not to take credit away from Monique’s natural birth mom - Judith, I miss and love them both. Losing your loved ones is not easy to deal with and the road ahead may be rough but we must accept the things in life we can’t change. However, we can change our destiny by doing positive things to make a difference in our lives and the future of our youths. I thank God every day for inspiring me and uplifting me, although my days are long and my nights are short, my tears are endless and I get so restless at night that I cannot sleep well but God is my stay.

Mothers out there in the world that have experienced loss, I feel your pain. Put your troubles in God’s hands because only then you can see your way through. Don’t forget it’s ok to cry because only then can we face tomorrow with a brighter smile. Please support me by picking up a copy of my new single “Tragedy” dedicated to mothers worldwide. The CD single will be released on December 18, 2009 at 875 Bloor Street Westat Habesha Lounge
